Morning: What to eat is the question! My husband made me pouched eggs. What the heck is that? Eggs dropped in water? I am not sure how this is suppose to taste. I am hungry. I need to eat. I tried to get up earlier to workout. Slept in. I will workout later on today after church....or maybe I will take a nap!---
Later on today:Why is it that every time I start to diet I end up twitching on the floor because I want a freakin cookie? I don’t even eat cookies that often, but now it is all I can think about. In the past (this is a phrase I am going to use a lot) whenever I start a diet I have to cut out all “junk” food. That means no chips, soda (not hard-don’t drink it), or dessert/candy. In the past….I have gone over six months without any of these tasty treats. However, I have recognized that part of me—who I am—loves to cook and bake. To take out little pleasure foods from my diet forever isn’t realistic. I like to eat cookies.
Therefore, I have spent a lot of time thinking today that I need to come up with a routine that I can live with for the rest of my life. I need an eating plan and an exercise plan that works for my life style. For example, in the past, I use to be able to run three times a day and spend a lot of time preparing my food. I would get up at 5:30 in the morning and be at the gym by 6 and workout until 8, shower, go to classes, work, and repeat. Once I got married and started a family, everything shifted. Running 6 to 7 seven days a week just doesn’t work for me right now.
I have set up a workout plan.
Run three days a week (if I have time for more than I will run more).
On the off days that I am not running I am going to do strength training. (No idea what that means).
Yoga three days a week.
On the off days of Yoga I am going to concentrate on a core/arm workout.

That is what I have so far.
Today, I went running. I ran only two miles with my brother-in-law. It was a good pace and I feel good. I need to remember to drink more water though.
As I stated before I had poached eggs for breakfast.
For lunch I had a salad with peas, olives, fat free cottage cheese, beats, and fat free dressing.
Snake- banana chips
For dinner I made a turkey with carrots, onions, and turnips.
I like to cook a “big” meal on Sunday and then use it throughout the week. I made my breakfast already for tomorrow- a spinoff on a graham cracker bar. It is really easy to make and tastes fantastic. If you were to do the real thing you take graham crackers and crunch them up. You place the crumbs into a deep bowl and then spread a little bit of honey over it. You let it sit while you cut up bananas. I like to soak my bananas in lemon before I place them evenly on the honey. You than add blueberries. On top of the blueberries you add yogurt. I changed this by using bulgur wheat instead of graham crackers. It always tastes best when you make it the night before and let it sit in the fridge.
As it stands right now I am still going to be vetoing the pleasure foods for a while.
